30min for your development #35

This playlist is stunning, it covers all you need to know and a recipe on how to re-start your company after the pandemic. It includes reports from McKinsey, Gartner, BCG, Sibylline and WorldAware, on how to recover from the crisis, and how to validate your plans, also where you should be focusing your efforts. The report from McKinsey is highly recommended, it shows how to structure your plan to ramp up your business, check out the section Planning and managing COVID-19 responses is a beautifully crafted “how-to”, very easy to follow. If you need more insights, data and an independent view, check out the BONUS material, the guys from Sibylline have made available their weekly risk assessment report, and from WorldAware you can receive alerts with the situation around the world. The Courses section include topics like Advice for Leaders During a Crisis, Critical Thinking and Collaboration, useful skills to be better prepared for what is coming. Keep learning, stay safe and be positive, this crisis also will end “Self 2.0”.

30min for your development #36

In this playlist, I have compiled a few great readings related to collaboration and productivity under the new scenario of remote working, and how to drive your strategy to success by anticipating technological changes. For courses we will refresh some typical manager activities from onboarding to mentoring, to revisit topics we usually do in the office, but with a virtual/remote approach to adapt to the current situation. Finally, a webinar you should attend with the topic of Augmented Introspection, around real cases of companies that have adopted remote working. Keep learning, stay safe and be positive “Self 2.0”.

Coronavirus 103

I wanted to share a selection of reports related to COVID19 that I have been reading during the last few days and find very interesting, as always this information is fact based and comes from recognised entities. The first is a paper from the ICL about the non-pharmaceutical measures Governments should put in place to deal with the COVID19; then a simulation of the basic topics of the study by 3Blue1Brown. Google has made available a report of mobility based on GPS data collected from phones, useful for planning references. A report of the initial modelling on how the spreading happens outside China. A report about the results of control strategies to reduce social mixing (in Wuhan). The last report is about statistics and the reading of those numbers, quite interesting. As always happy learning and stay safe. “Self 2.0”.
